About Us
The Gone Country Dogs Story
My family and I took a leap of faith when we bought our forever home. The one acre property had everything we needed to house our then 3 dogs, 2 horses, 2 guinea pigs and a parrot. But we both worked at least an hour away. I thought there had to be a better way. Then I remembered I had wanted to give Rover a try the year before we moved. We decided to give it a shot and it was the best decision we ever made!
We had always joked that we went “country” when we moved here. So naturally Gone Country Dogs, LLC was born. When we started this journey back in 2017 we were a young active family and everyone wanted to play a part in the business. Now, as the kids are both teens they help where and when they can, just like my husband, Ryan, who is my biggest supporter.
I always had a dog growing up and worked as a vet assistant/receptionist for 13 years. Weirdly enough, I’ve always had this intuition, a “gut feeling” if you will, when interacting with dogs and horses. It kind of gave me a sense of them which has always helped in predicting their behavior. My life experience and knowledge has played a big part in this business flourishing.
We pride ourselves in being a low-stress family environment. This means we only take a few dogs at a time so every dog gets the attention they deserve. From when we get up until we go to bed, we make it our priority to include your dog in everything we can. Safety and great quality of care are our top two priorities when caring for your dog.

Since Covid, we have seen a big shift in dogs and their needs. The outcome of that has led us to be the first doggie daycare and boarding to prioritize each dog individually. Based on their individual needs in a structured routine to help them become a more comfortable and confident version of themselves.
Our mission is to help families with their dogs to feel more secure and confident outside of their home environment and around other dogs. We are not just a place to drop off your dog as needed – each day is focused on who is here and the support that they need.
Your dog’s well-being comes first and foremost. We will care for your dog as if they are our own. We are confident that your dog will be excited to come stay and hang out with us! Many of our clients say their dog gets excited when they mention us by name or when they pull into our neighborhood.
We are so thankful to have the best clients around! Thank you for entrusting us to care for your dog. We truly enjoy having you a part of our family!
